Aerial View Bangkok

With hands wide open facing the ocean, the sea breeze trying to make its way through my hair.

The turquoise water caressing my feet and far off near the horizon the sun painting the sky in the colours of orange and red as it sinks below the horizon. It looked magical.

I closed my eyes to feel, to soak and to capture everything for eternity.

Suddenly, I could hear Sammy’s voice  “Wake up, we are about to land “, trying to wake my sleepy self, eyes almost open to realize that I was dreaming 😉 We were yet to land.

I consider myself  lucky to sleep during plane journeys be it an hour’s flight or 18 hours flight 😉

As the flight geared up for landing at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport , there was an announcement to make sure our seats were straightened, tray tables in their full upright position and to fasten the seat belts.

I tried to open the window shutter to have first glance of the capital city of country famously known as land of smiles – Thailand.

Clouds like a cotton candies scattered all around playing peek a boo, I could hardly get a perfect view .

As we came down further and close to landing, the clouds parted giving a stunning view of the city. Tall skyscrapers trying to reach for the skies and highways that were bustling with traffic.Chao Phraya River flowing like a serpent making its way across the city. These were the first images of Bangkok that did sink into me.

I was pretty excited thinking about the vacation ahead.

This post really gives the feeling of arriving in Bangkok after a long flight. You were lucky you’d slept and woke up at the end, I normally can’t sleep the whole journey. You captured some very clear images from the plane, it looks like a helicopter tour!
