Visa Related Update:
From 1st Jan 2015, both tourist and business visas for Indians will be delivered by the French consulates within 48 hours (2 working days) and 76 hours for satellite centers. If there are any missing documents or any other details needed, a text message will be sent to the applicant.
8 new France Visa Application Centres (VFS) has been opened in the below cities to make the visa processing faster. Any Indian citizen having his or her main residence in India can now apply for a visa from any VFS centre in India.

“ChaloParis” Travel App
“ChaloParis” official travel app has been developed for smartphones and tablets, especially keeping in mind the Indian traveller’s needs and queries planning a French holiday. The app lists all the places to visit, shop and eat.
It lists Indian restaurants and also focuses on vegetarian restaurants options & recommendations by Ms Rashmi Uday Singh, Paris-fan & acclaimed food critic.
Info about nearby places and day trips from Paris to Normandy, the Loire Valley, Mont Saint-Michel, Bordeaux & its vineyards.
It also features for English-French/ French-English translation to assist travelers in day-to-day situations.

From India, Air France flies daily from Delhi and Mumbai and 6 times a week from Bengaluru to Paris. KLM offers 14 weekly flights from India including a daily flight each from New Delhi and Mumbai to Amsterdam. From Mumbai, the flights are code-shared with Delta Airlines.
