Soochippara Waterfall

Known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls — situated near Meppadi is natures treasured gift. Walk 2 Kms from car parking / taxi stand for the waterfall into the dense equatorial forest of Wayanad and find the nature at its thundering best.

The waterfall is very popular and the most crowded one. Last 500 mts of trekking is a bit tiring and risky.

Distance : Around 30 kms from Vythiri and 20 kms frm Kalpetta.

Kanthanpara Waterfall

Kanthanpara water falls is the only falls in wayanad for which you don’t have to trek. A  narrow path will lead you to the actual waterfall.

Since the place is less popular than soochippara falls it is more calm and hassle free. There is no trekking or climbing the slopes so it is very less tiresome and enjoyable.

While I was in Kerala, I went to Coorg and there was always a debate of whether Coorg was better or Wayanad. Feel like revisiting Wayanad to check the difference.
