Top 10 things we miss – Velassaru Resort

Maldives being a dreamers dreams, honeymooners heaven and romantic’s romance.

The more we look at the pictures, the more we miss the place.Secluded yet close. The resort is one of the finest luxury resorts that we have stayed in.We spent an amazing time indulging in good food, walking down the white sandy beaches, amidst the turquoise lagoon on the picturesque island. There is something different about Velassaru Maldives, the moment you step into the resort, you tend to leave your world behind.Every nook and cranny is being so aesthetically designed, you will have tough time finding your favourite spot on the island.

Live in your world, play in ours.”, in Velassaru style 😉

Things we heart about Velassaru Resort, Maldives.

1.Taking exotic dips at the infinity pool

The illusion of the pool seamlessly blending with the ocean is a view with a view. Get a book and laze on the beach chairs watching the sunset or enjoy a pizza at the Pizzeria by the pool with your loved one and the watch the sun go down painting the sky in magical way.

Be it underwater exploration of the magical world snorkeling and diving or be it kayaking, the resort has it all.

Our first scuba diving experience was at Velassaru and thanks to our guide, who explained the safety measures and trained us before we took the dip. There is a different world altogether waiting to be explored from baby sharks to giant sting rays, from multi coloured fishes to beautiful corals (you could also adopt a coral, isn’t that cool?).

Scuba diving is offered by the diving institute PADI. At the end of the diving, we received a certificate of completion from PADI. Safety is given the utmost importance.

3. Savoring on different types of cuisine :

Savor a luxurious feast of wide range of selection professionally done. The  exotic tastes of cuisines like teppanyaki, pan-Asian seafood, Mediterranean delicacies, international favourites will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving for more.

We used to have lunch at Vela and Turquoise most of the time during our stay.We devoured happily on roasted peer to roasted duck , we did taste authentic Maldivian food which was very much similar to Indian food.

4.Evening movie sessions at the resorts :

Underneath star lit skies, watching a movie all cuddled up in a bean bag on the beach are experiences to experience for a lifetime.

Sipping cocktails on the bar while listening to the endearing sounds of waves breaking at the coral reef at Chill bar and  dancing to the grooves  at Fen bar.

6.Sunset Cruise at Indian Ocean :

Watching the sunset cast a rosy glow over the dreamy landscape, with champagne and canopy served onboard. This was definitely the most romantic one.

7.Private Dining Experience :

The various private dining experience would definitely sweep you off from your feet. Some of the private dining options were island escape and Barbecue at the beach (pic below).

8.Warm Friendly Staff :

The staffs were a mix of all nationalities, warm and friendly, greeting with a smile. Always ready to click photos on request at any moment, thanks to them we have some amazing memories of our honeymoon. We used to ask them to click one pic and they would end up doing a photo shoot. We love them.

The resort do has a photographer on site for photo shoot , so if you are interested you can book them to get framed in some of the scenic spots of the islands.

Relax and rejuvenate at the spa with a view of the Maldivian seascape is exhilarating.

10.The Resort

Modern and chic predominately designed with the hues of white and blue, located just 25 minutes boat ride from the Male International Airport. White sandy beaches as fine it squeaks like icing sugar as you walk on it and the turquoise lagoon that invites you to take a plunge to venture into a discovery of a lifetime. The resort has everything honeymooners can expect. Water villas are classy and a stay is nothing less to a bliss.Heart it <3 <3 <3

The resort also has a library, gymnasium and a souvenir store too.

The infinity pool and the water sports amazed me and I cant resist the temptation to pack my bags and set off to Maldives right at this instant. With the most amazing sunrise and sunset combined with a romantic beach, it must be so amazing.
