Numbers Aren’t Everything.
Yes, we agree but disagree as well. Who does not love having huge followers?
In today’s world, it is all about numbers that matters and buying follower are an easy and quickest route in establishing yourself as an influencer.
We have received loads of emails from newbie bloggers who want to increase their followers count overnight and some even have asked us if buying followers is a good idea. To all those creative minds and upcoming social influencers we’d refrain you from buying followers for one very simple reason — if it is easy to buy followers, it is even easier to know accounts with fake followers.
Advise : Be patient, keep following your passion and work hard to reach the milestones you have set.
It was actually a year ago when we were busy trying to grow our Twitter followers, we did a lot of analysis on checking few so-called “influencers” on how they are growing and have such a huge following of 70-100 K followers when their profile is not even interesting and their site hardly has any visitors. A quick check led us to disappointment. We found out that most of their followers were fake and what worried us more was — people/ PR/ Bloggers don’t even have a clue about it.
Long story short, it is easy to be an influencer and fool people with huge numbers as most of the people don’t even know how to snag out the fake ones.
Coming from IT background and moreover analyzing data on a daily basis we love keeping a tap on the current trends and market changes.
So, today’s post is all about NUMBERS — how not to get fooled by the numbers and works towards in achieving your milestone.
This post is for PR and aspiring social media influencers.

A very informative post there. I’ve been writing for 3+ years and as naive as it may sound, never heard of buying followers. Now connecting the dots, I know so many blogs that have insane number of followers. But no Google presence. You are right that in the world where so much can be bought, a good content drives genuine traffic.

Nice compilation of tools. Informative, however I would agree with Srinidhi as most of these are limited in terms of functionality in free mode.

True, PR agencies can upgrade from free mode and make the best use of the tools 🙂
