Hotel Review – CitizenM Hotel La Defense Paris

We had been yearning to visit Paris for a long time and finally it happened this year. We were in Paris for three days and loved rambling around the city. From the customary visit to the Eiffel tower to sampling the world-famous macaroons of Laudree, we had a great time exploring the City of Lights. While at Paris, we stayed in the uber chic (UN)business like a business hotel — CitizenM Hotel at La Defense. Read on for the Hotel Review – CitizenM Hotel La Defense Paris.

Check-In

The check-in process is a self-serve process, the first of the kind that we have seen. The check-in area is on the first floor and has multiple self-service kiosks which the guests can use to complete the check-in process. The process is very simple, you just have to enter the name with which your booking has been confirmed. It is an easy process and with few taps on the screen, you’re DONE. Hotel staff can also help you if you’re confused with the self-check-in process. During the check-in process, you have the options to select rooms according to your preference; you can choose between the high or low floor and the view of either the Grande Arche or the cemetery nearby.

Dining

The hotel has a 24-hour restaurant and bar – CanteenM – which is located on the first floor. The restaurant has a chic decor and seating arrangement with designer couches. The dining area also has regular seating arrangement as well. The restaurant also has a small courtyard terrace where you can have your breakfast with a view of the Grande Arche. Breakfast is served in the restaurant starting 7 AM until 11 AM.

The breakfast spread was quite good with a choice of baked goods, cereals, fruit juices etc. You can also grab a coffee on the go from the restaurant.

Facilities

With free Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel, you can connect and work from anywhere that you want. There are multiple workspaces available for the guests to use. Also, there are iMacs which can be used by the guests. There are ironing rooms on multiple floors as well.

Location

CitizenM hotel is conveniently located at 10 mins walking distance from the metro station Gare de La Defense. The hotel overlooks the Grande Arche and the location is both an easy and is at an efficient distance to the center by Metro. It takes around 20 minutes by Metro to reach the Eiffel Tour. The neighborhood is quite good and as it is a business hotel, it is located close to many MNCs.

Verdict

An upscale hotel in a convenient site and with upscale amenities. The hotel is a perfect blend of convenience and comfort. It has all the facilities of a luxury hotel and yet it is affordable. The staffs are well-trained, polite and ready to help you with all your queries. It’s a perfect place for business travelers as well as vacationers.
