From the stunning Charminar to the world-famous Biryani, from pearls to perfumes. If you are done with threading into the Hyderabad’s many lanes diving into the smell, sound, and culture. We urge you to take a detour on your next visit to one of a unique museum of the world.
We were flooded with options with just a quick search on the internet while planning our weekend long trip. From all the places listed that popped on our screen, the one place that intrigued us totally was one of the rarest and wackiest museums — ” Sudha Car Museum ” located in the city of Bahadurpura, just 6 km from the center of Hyderabad.
You might wonder what is so fascinating about a car museum. It might be just another collection of old and new cars on display – Well not exactly !!! This museum is unique and wacky. The amazing cars here on display are handmade stuff and of various shapes and sizes inspired by daily objects. The effort of turning scrap into homemade automobile ready to drive on the road is not only commendable but fabulously amazing.
Just imagine driving in a lipstick or a burger shaped car to work 😉 You will definitely have all the heads turning towards you.
You will be amazed as you unveil this interesting museum where you can find the India’s smallest train which is just 19 feet long and with a seating capacity of 10 people or the longest tricycle of the world. A car shaped as a sofa, high heels, compact powder, cigarettes, bed, burger and some of the car designs are beyond imagination. You name it and you have it.
Snippet from one of his interview with Dailymail, Sudhakar said “The cars costs around £1,000 to £1,500 in making and are displayed in road shows and exhibition in India.”
Fact File:
Sudha Cars Museum is a brain child of extremely talented Mr. K. Sudhakar who hails to be from Hyderabad. He has a Guinness World Record for creating the largest tricycle in the world, which is about 41 feet and seven inches tall.
At the age of 14 he first designed a bicycle and the very next year at the age of 15 he made his first “Easy Rider Motorbike”. When he was in his intermediate he created a four-wheeler — stunning, rugged looking “Dune Buggy”. Genius !!!
The interesting part is all these cars — they are not limited to museum or a show piece, they are just like any other normal cars but in different shapes & sizes. You can actually drive them on roads 🙂 Isn’t that awesome ?
But no worries you don’t have to wait for next road show to get amused by these amazing cars.
Let’s take you on a visual trip to the unique and the most amazing Car Museum of the world.
