If you’re an Indian citizen living in Germany and need to renew your passport, you’ve come to the right place. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of renewing your Indian passport in Germany.
What are the different steps needed to renew Indian Passport in Germany?
Renewing an Indian passport while living abroad can be a daunting task. However, the process can be simplified by following the correct steps.
- Click the link here and select Passport Form in the page.
- Click the Register link in the website and signup with your details. Then login using the user id you signed up with.
- Complete the online application form and submit the same.
- Download, print and sign the completed application form and post it to the embassy.

Step 1 – Go the Embassy Website
Go to the embassy website and on Passport Form as shown in the picture below.
Step 2 – Complete Registration
Then click on the Register tab as show in the image below and complete the registration process.
Step 3 – Complete Application Form
Once you have complete the registration, login to the website to complete the Application Form. Click on Apply for Ordinary Passport. Then click Re-issue of Ordinary Passport.
Step 4 – Download, print, sign and send
Download & print the completed application form. Sign in the required places in the form. Paste one photograph on the first page and staple the second photograph on the last page. Attach the required documents to the application form like proof of payment, copy of first and last page of existing passport etc. to the application. Send this package to the respective Indian Embassy/Consulate along with a self addressed envelope if you want your new passport to be sent back to your address. Or you can visit the embassy to submit the application.
