HOW TO REACH ZAANSE SCHANS FROM AMSTERDAM?
There are many ways to get to Zaanse Schans from Amsterdam.
By Train:
The nearest railway station is Zaandijk – Zaanse Schans. By sprinter train, you can reach Zaandijk – Zaanse Schans in 20 minutes. From there it’s a 1 km walk to the village. ( Price: 3:50 Euros one way )
By Bus:
Bus 391 connects the Amsterdam Central station to Zaanse Schans. These buses leave Amsterdam every 15 minutes and the journey takes roughly 40 minutes.
The Rnet-bus 817 drives in July and August from the Zaanse Schans to Volendam/Edam.
By Car:
You can also drive to Zaanse Schans. The address of the parking place is Wezelstraat 12.
By Ferry:
You could take the Ferry Zaanboot from Amsterdam Central Station to the Zaanse Schans. Duration +/- 110 minutes. You can find information on the ferry timetable and current rates via www.zaanferry.com
By Bike:
If you love biking, you can easily reach Zaanse Schans from Amsterdam by bike as well.
